1. Who we are HeartbreakBuddy.com (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a paid membership community and digital healing platform designed to support people recovering from breakups, divorce, or heartbreak. We take your privacy extremely seriously—especially because you share some of your most vulnerable moments here.

2. Information we collect • Account & profile information: email address, username, encrypted password, and any optional details you choose to add. • Payment information: handled exclusively by our PCI-compliant processors (Lemon Squeezy/Stripe, PayPal, or similar). We never see or store your full card details. • Chat & forum posts: everything you write to the AI therapist or in private community forums. • Email communications and mailing-list data. • Usage data: anonymised analytics (pages visited, time spent, device type) via Plausible/Umami or similar privacy-friendly tools. • Hypnotherapy download tracking (so we know you received your free gift).

3. How we use your information • To provide and improve the service (AI responses, forum access, delivering hypnotherapy audio). • To process payments and send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, subscription updates). • To send you the free sleep hypnotherapy audio and pre-launch updates if you join the mailing list. • To keep the community safe (moderate forums, prevent spam/abuse). • To understand how the site is used (fully anonymised—no IP logging where possible).

4. Data storage & security • All personal data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. • Chat and forum content is stored securely and accessible only to you and our small moderation team when required. • We use reputable EU or US-based providers (e.g., Hetzner, AWS Frankfurt, Supabase) that are GDPR-compliant.

5. Sharing of data We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except: • Payment processors (Lemon Squeezy, Stripe, PayPal) – they only receive what is required to process payments. • Legal obligation (if required by law). • Sub-processors for hosting, email delivery (Postmark, Resend), and anonymised analytics.

6. Your conversations with the AI therapist Your chats are private and are never used to train third-party models. We may anonymise and aggregate conversation patterns (with all identifying details removed) solely to improve the AI’s empathy and effectiveness for future members.

7. Mailing list & marketing When you sign up for the pre-launch list you will receive: • Your free sleep hypnotherapy audio immediately. • Occasional updates about the launch and your 3 free months. You can unsubscribe instantly with one click at any time.

8. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) You have the right to: • Access, correct, or delete your personal data. • Export your chats and posts. • Withdraw consent and be forgotten. Just email heartbreakbuddy.@gmail.com and we’ll action it within 72 hours (usually same day).

9. Cookies We use only strictly necessary session cookies and privacy-preserving analytics (no tracking cookies, no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels).

10. Children Our service is strictly for individuals 18 years and older.
